Foreign diplomats review construction of tunnel in Azerbaijan PHOTO
Representatives of the diplomatic corps operating in Türkiye and accredited in Azerbaijan, including ambassadors of foreign countries and representatives of international organisations, reviewed the construction of a tunnel on the Ahmadbayli-Fuzuli-Shusha highway in Azerbaijan on August 26, which is at the final stage.
Special Representative of the Azerbaijani president in Shusha Aydin Karimov and representative of the State Agency of Azerbaijan Automobile Roads Eyyub Huseynov informed foreign diplomats that the "Victory Road" was built in a short period of time, and also spoke about the work conducted on Ahmadbayli-Fuzuli-Shusha highway, Report informs.
The Ahmadbayli-Fuzuli-Shusha highway stretching 81.6 kilometres is being built in accordance with the first technical category.
Thus, the first, 48-kilometre section of the highway consists of six lanes, while the 48-81.6-kilometre section consists of four lanes. The subgrade width is 29.5 metres and 21.5 metres respectively.
Some 30 underpasses, seven bridges, seven tunnels, and nine viaducts are being built along the highway. The tunnels are provisionally named T1A (3303m), T1 (351.5m), T2 (550m), T3 (681.5m), T4 (570m), T5 (478.5m), and T6 (526m).
The guests were informed that the construction of T4, T5 and T6 tunnels is at the final stage.
Currently, 18 projects for the construction of roads are being implemented in the Azerbaijani territories liberated from the Armenian occupation.
