France to supply Ukraine with small arms, grenade launchers

The French arms company Verney-Carron will supply Ukraine with 12,000 small arms and a batch of grenade launchers.

The Verney-Carron statement said that under the framework contract, the company will export 10,000 automatic carbines, 2,000 precision rifles and 400 grenade launchers to Ukraine, TASS reports with reference to the company's press service.

The value of the contract is 36 million euros.

Deliveries should start in the first months of 2024. Fulfilment of the terms of the contract will depend on the receipt of funds: Verney-Carron hopes that the funds will be allocated from the Ukrainian aid funds.
