Future relations between Russia, EU may shift, says EU high rep

EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell has suggested that relations between Moscow and Brussels could change in the distant future.

"In the long term, in a post-war context, there might be some changes in the relationship between Moscow and Brussels," Borrell emphasised, Caliber.Az reports, citing foreign media.

He also noted that a resolution to the conflict in Ukraine does not appear imminent.

On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Although Russian forces made significant gains in the first days of combat, Ukrainian defenders rebuffed attempts to seize Kyiv and other major cities and were soon launching counterattacks at Russian positions.
