Georgian ambassador highlights importance of foreign minister's first official visit to Baku
Zurab Pataradze, Georgian Ambassador to Azerbaijan, has emphasized the significance of the first official visit by Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili to Baku at the beginning of the year.
Pataradze noted that the visit is an important step in further strengthening the already robust relations between the two countries, Caliber.Az reports citing local media.
"Azerbaijan is a strategic partner and a friendly country for Georgia, and our relations are developing dynamically," he stated.
The ambassador explained that the visit is expected to facilitate discussions on a wide range of bilateral issues, including political, trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian matters. He expressed confidence that the meetings planned during the visit will significantly enhance cooperation and bring the relationship between the two nations to a new level.
"These meetings will contribute to the activation and strengthening of relations between Georgia and Azerbaijan, fostering deeper collaboration across various sectors," Pataradze concluded.
Foreign Minister Botchorishvili will visit Azerbaijan on January 16 to hold several meetings in Baku.
Discussions will center on the prospects for the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Georgia, along with ongoing regional and global developments.
The Georgian FM is also scheduled to participate in the 10th meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between the two countries.
