Ground vehicle collides with passenger plane before departure in Japan

A ground vehicle carrying passenger stairs collided with a parked All Nippon Airways (ANA) aircraft at Fukuoka International Airport in southwestern Japan.

The vehicle struck the aircraft’s tail while maneuvering behind it. Passengers were already on board at the time and preparing to depart on a flight from Fukuoka to New Chitose Airport on the northern island of Hokkaido, Caliber.Az reports via Xinhua.

No one was injured in the incident. ANA canceled the flight to inspect the aircraft’s tail section, while passengers were transferred to a replacement flight.
