Hamas fires missile at Israeli helicopter over Gaza VIDEO

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported that a Hamas missile was launched at an Israeli combat helicopter operating over Gaza City on September 25. 

The missile missed its target, and the helicopter sustained no damage or injuries while continuing its mission, Caliber.Az reports via Israeli media.

The IDF stated that the projectile was likely a shoulder-fired surface-to-air missile. According to the military, no such weapon has successfully struck a manned Israeli aircraft to date.

Arab media outlets shared footage showing the missile launch, describing it as an attempt by the resistance to down the helicopter. The video shows a smoke trail passing close to the helicopter, which deployed flares in response.
