Hamas regains control of northern and central Gaza Strip

The Palestinian movement Hamas has resumed the provision of public services in the northern and central Gaza Strip.

Citing two unnamed officials, KAN state television reported that Hamas had regained control of the civil administration in the areas abandoned by the Israeli army.

The lack of post-war solutions in Gaza has contributed to Hamas' strength in public services, the report said.

In addition to the emergency committees set up for emergencies such as war, local authorities previously run by Hamas have reportedly resumed operations in the northern and central regions.
