Haniyeh affirms Hamas' willingness to consider all initiatives
The head of the Hamas Politburo stated that the organization is receptive to all proposals aimed at halting the conflict in Gaza and meeting the resistance's demands, Caliber.Az reports citing Turkish media.
Speaking at an event in Beirut, Haniyeh emphasized Hamas's key demands: a cessation of hostilities, Israeli military withdrawal, Gaza's reconstruction, prisoner exchanges, and aid for Palestinians.
He stressed that these demands reflect the wishes of their people and resistance groups, and Hamas is willing to engage with any initiatives that address these priorities in ceasefire talks.
Haniyeh noted Hamas's acceptance of a ceasefire proposal from Qatar and Egypt in early May, although Israel's attempts to modify it risk undermining the core demands of the resistance.
He also criticized Israel's negotiation tactics, accusing them of international and regional pressure to impose their perspective.
