Hezbollah says no ceasefire without full Israeli withdrawal from Lebanon
Hezbollah rejected a US-supported ceasefire proposal between Lebanon and Israel on June 4, stating that any agreement it could accept must first include a complete Israeli withdrawal from Lebanese territory.
The Iran-aligned group said it had officially conveyed its stance to Lebanese President Joseph Aoun, expressing opposition to the proposed deal, Caliber.Az reports, citing Iran International.
Hezbollah also insisted that the return of displaced civilians, post-war reconstruction efforts, and the release of Lebanese detainees should be key prerequisites for any future agreement.
The group was not involved in the negotiations that led to the draft ceasefire.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces reportedly conducted airstrikes in southern Lebanon on June 4, with explosions heard in areas near Nabatieh.
