Hindu leader insults Muslims, says he doesn’t want to see them PHOTO

A video circulating on social media has sparked widespread outrage after a man identified as Deepak Das, described in the post as the national treasurer of the Hindu Security Service Association, allegedly made threatening and communal remarks targeting Muslims at Hanumangarhi in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh.

In the video, Das is heard saying: “I don’t want to even see Muslims, and I will bury them,” Caliber.Az reports, citing Clarion India.

Those present reportedly responded with applause and cheers.

Das also allegedly claimed that “80%” of Muslims in India are terrorists and said Muslims who refuse to chant “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” or “Vande Mataram” would be “buried 80 feet underground.”

The remarks have drawn criticism for targeting an entire religious community and linking patriotism to the use of specific slogans.

The video has prompted strong reactions online, with users calling for action over what they described as communal and threatening rhetoric.

One user on X wrote, “Such communal and threatening rhetoric targeting an entire religious community is deeply disturbing and must be condemned. Patriotism cannot be imposed through threats, and citizens should not be threatened with violence for their religious identity or beliefs.”

Another user called for legal action against Das, writing: “Calling an entire community terrorists and threatening to bury them alive is nothing but hatred and intimidation. In India, every citizen has the right to live with dignity while maintaining their identity and practising their faith. Those who incite hatred should face legal action.”

The reported threats against people who decline to chant particular slogans have also raised concerns over intimidation and the targeting of Muslims because of their religious identity.

The controversy comes amid recurring debates in India over slogans such as “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Vande Mataram”, as well as whether citizens should be pressured to express patriotism in a particular way.

No official police statement or information about action over the alleged remarks was available at the time of writing.

Clarion India said it could not independently verify the authenticity of the video.

The footage has continued to circulate online, with users tagging police and other authorities and calling for an investigation.

The incident has renewed concerns about the potential consequences of communal rhetoric in public spaces, particularly when political or religious differences are expressed through threats against an entire community.
