Hungarian FM Szijjártó returns to social media after "going missing"
Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó has resumed limited activity on social media after a period of silence that followed Hungary’s parliamentary election, updating his Facebook profile image but not yet posting any new messages.
On April 13 morning, Szijjártó changed his profile picture to an image of the Hungarian flag. However, he has not published any new posts or public statements since the election period, Caliber.Az reports via Hungarian media.
The update comes after reports that the foreign minister, who is typically active online every one to two hours, had not posted for more than 16 hours and was last active on the afternoon of April 12.
Szijjártó also did not appear alongside Prime Minister Viktor Orbán when the ruling party acknowledged its election results.
