IDF eliminates senior Hamas official

The IDF air force killed Akram Abd al-Rahman Hosein Salam, a senior Hamas internal security official, in southern Gaza, acting on information from military intelligence (Aman) and the General Security Service (Shabak).

According to NEWSru.co.il, Salam held a number of key positions within Hamas, including deputy chief of staff in Khan Younis.

As part of his position, he planned terrorist actions aimed at harming IDF forces in the Gaza Strip and was also responsible for planning and executing major terrorist attacks inside Israel.
