IDF strikes 250 Hamas targets in Gaza Strip in 24 hours
Air Force, Navy and ground units of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) attacked 250 military targets of radicals in the Gaza Strip over the past day.
"Over the day, IDF ground forces, IAF and Navy continued to attack terrorist infrastructure in the Gaza Strip and struck 250 terrorist sites. In recent hours, IDF troops discovered and destroyed weapons caches, conducted targeted raids on military facilities, destroyed underground terror tunnels and neutralized squads of armed terrorists planning to attack IDF soldiers," TASS reports, citing the IDF press service.
"During the night, an IDF fighter jet struck a Hamas military communications facility located near a mosque in the southern Gaza Strip," the press service continued, noting that "after the strike, troops conducted a targeted raid at the location."
"During the IDF action in al-Shuja'iyya, the troops conducted a targeted raid on the Hamas military command centre and found a large number of weapons, including rifles, grenades, anti-tank weapons, ammunition and additional military equipment," the military added.
In addition, "the IDF struck underground tunnels in Khan Younis with precision munitions," the spokesperson's office said. During the operation in the city, "a UAV enabled IDF troops to identify an armed terrorist group that was on its way to attack soldiers," and "the terrorist group was eliminated," the press service added.
