IDF strikes Hezbollah site in Southern Lebanon
Israeli Air Force (IAF) fighter jets conducted airstrikes on a site in the Beaufort Ridge area of Southern Lebanon, targeting what the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) described as a Hezbollah-operated facility used for coordinating fire and defence activities.
According to the IDF, the location was part of a larger underground infrastructure project that had previously been rendered non-operational following earlier Israeli strikes. Israeli authorities claim that Hezbollah had been attempting to restore the facility, prompting renewed military action, Caliber.Az reports.
The Israeli military stated that the presence and rehabilitation of the site violated prior understandings between Israel and Lebanon.
"The IDF will not allow attempts made by Hezbollah to operate at the site and will continue to operate to eliminate any threat against the State of Israel," the military said in a statement.
