India buys over 100 barrage ammunition from Poland
Indian special operations forces have acquired more than 100 small Warmate barrage ammunition manufactured by the Polish company WB Electronics.
Warmate is a Polish attack drone designed for surveillance, detection, tracking and identification of targets, it is also used as a barrage munition to defeat live or lightly armoured targets, the Polish edition of Defence24 reports.
The device is a composite high-wing with a V-shaped tail, which is equipped with an electric motor. The range of the complex is 10 km, the duration of the barrage is 30 minutes, the maximum speed is 150 km / h, and the maximum flight altitude is 500 m at a normal flight altitude of 30-200 m.
The device can be equipped with a variety of combat heads with an explosive mass of up to 800 g.
"The Indian Special Forces chose Warmate from more than 100 other drones proposed, including by Israel and the United States. The drones have passed comparative tests in the field and Warmate came out the winner," the publication writes.
