India says fuel supplies to Russia possible if needed

India could supply fuel to Russia if the need arises, Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri has stated, noting that the country has the capacity to do so.

At a press conference, when asked whether New Delhi exports fuel to Russia, he said India is the world's fourth-largest oil refining country, and it depends on how the situation develops, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.

According to Puri, India had never suspended exports of petroleum products to other countries.

"We have never stopped exports, even during times of crisis, and we will continue to export," he added.
