Iran, Armenia pledge to deepen political, economic and cultural cooperation
Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian has met with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
According to the press service of the Armenian Cabinet of Ministers, Pezeshkian noted that he attaches importance to the consistent development of relations with friendly Armenia in political, economic and humanitarian spheres, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.
"The centuries-old friendship of our peoples, close historical and cultural ties are the basis for even greater development of bilateral interaction. We are ready to jointly continue our dialogue and enrich the agenda of bilateral interaction," Pezeshkian said.
The Iranian president noted the importance of consistent efforts to establish peace and stability in the region. He noted that maintaining peace in the region is of key importance for Tehran, adding that Iran believes it is necessary to resolve all issues through dialogue.
Pashinyan once again congratulated Pezeshkian on his election, noting that the multifaceted development of relations with Iran is important for Armenia and is based on mutual respect and understanding.
"The fact that I am here today testifies to our commitment to deepen relations, strengthen cooperation between Armenia and IRI at the highest level," Pashinyan said.
