Georgia's president makes official visit to Armenia UPDATE
President of Georgia Mikheil Kavelashvili has arrived in Armenia for an official visit, marking a significant step in strengthening ties between the two nations.
Upon his arrival, Kavelashvili was warmly welcomed at the airport by Armenia's Deputy Prime Minister, Tigran Khachatryan, Caliber.Az reports per Georgian media.
The Georgian president's visit will include high-level meetings with key Armenian officials. Kavelashvili is scheduled to meet with Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, and the Catholicos of All Armenians, Garegin II, during his stay.
“My official visit to the Republic of Armenia has commenced. I will hold high-level meetings with President Vahagn Khachaturyan and Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during the visit. I am honored to have the opportunity to meet His Holiness Karekin II, the Catholicos of All Armenians. Georgia and Armenia are bound by a deep-rooted and enduring friendship. I am delighted that one of my first international visits is to our close neighbor, underscoring the importance of our bilateral ties,” Kavelashvili wrote on X.

On April 28, Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili will visit the capital of Armenia, Yerevan, for an official visit, where high-level meetings will take place, according to a statement from the press service of the Georgian President's administration.
Vice Prime Minister of Armenia Tigran Khachaturyan will greet Kavelashvili at the Zvartnots International Airport, Caliber.Az reports, citing Georgian media.
During the visit, Kavelashvili will be received by his Armenian counterpart, Vahagn Khachaturyan, at the presidential palace. A meeting between the two presidents is planned in both a one-on-one format and in an expanded format, after which Kavelashvili and Khachaturyan will make joint statements for the media.
As part of the official visit, Kavelashvili will also meet with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II.
The Georgian delegation includes the Head of the President's Administration, Ketevan Kvinitadze, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Lasha Darsalia, First Deputy Speaker of the Georgian Parliament Giorgi Volski, as well as MPs Samvel Manukyan, Sumbat Kyureghyan, and the President's International Relations Advisor Luka Ekhvaya.
