NATO troops join forces with Georgia in major military drills for enhanced readiness
NATO troops have officially commenced the NATO-Georgia-2025 command and staff exercise in Georgia, marking a significant step in the ongoing military cooperation between the alliance and the South Caucasus country.
The exercise began in the town of Krtsanisi, with the participation of military personnel from NATO member states alongside Georgian forces, Caliber.Az reports citing Georgia's Ministry of Defence.
The ministry confirmed the start of the drills, which are designed to enhance the readiness and interoperability of multinational units under the command of Georgia. The exercises are set to take place at the brigade level and will incorporate computer-assisted simulation techniques to facilitate realistic operational training.
Deputy Defence Minister of Georgia Giorgi Liluashvili, alongside NATO military Liaison Officer, Colonel Berat Teli, delivered remarks to congratulate the servicemen participating in the exercise. Their statements underscored the importance of the event for strengthening the capabilities of Georgia’s military and its integration with NATO forces.
