Iran unveils number of victims in Kerman's blast
The Iranian authorities have revised the number of victims of the terrorist attack in the city of Kerman, saying that 84 people were killed, Interfax reports citing Iranian media.
The data was announced by the head of the Iranian Interior Ministry, Ahmad Vahidi. He also said that 284 people were injured, 220 of them in hospital. Some are in critical condition.
The authorities had initially reported 103 dead and 211 injured.
The minister did not specify why the authorities had revised these figures.
Several explosions went off in the Iranian city of Kerman on January 3 on the anniversary of General Qassem Suleimani, the former commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps' al-Quds special forces, who was killed in a US air strike in Baghdad.
