Russians lead visitors in Armenia in 2025 as tourist numbers rise 2.5%

In 2025, Armenia saw a 2.5% increase in tourist numbers compared to 2024, Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan announced, noting that Russian visitors remain the largest group.

Despite leading in numbers, the share of Russian tourists fell to 41% compared to 2023, Caliber.Az reports per Armenian media.

Papoyan emphasised the importance of maintaining and growing Russian arrivals, while also expanding tourism from other countries.

The minister added that by 2030, Armenia aims to attract at least 3 million international tourists and 4.5 million domestic visitors.
