Trade turnover between Kazakhstan, OTS states surpasses $11 billion
Trade turnover between Kazakhstan and member states of the Turkic world exceeded $11 billion, marking growth of more than 10%, officials announced on January 8.
The figures were presented at the third General Assembly meeting of the Union of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Turkic Countries, Caliber.Az reports via Kazakh media.
Raimbek Batalov, Chairman of the Presidium of Kazakhstan’s Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs, said exports of Kazakhstani goods rose by more than 16% to nearly $8 billion.
Established in 2019, the Union of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Turkic Countries brings together Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Türkiye, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and Hungary. The organisation aims to strengthen economic cooperation and trade ties among its members.
In 2026, Kazakhstan assumed the chairmanship of the union for the first time. At the meeting, Raimbek Batalov was elected President of the Turkic Chamber of Commerce and Industry for a one-year term.
