Strong wind forces plane to abort landing in Türkiye VIDEO

A passenger plane approaching Sabiha Gökçen Airport in Türkiye had to abort its landing due to adverse weather conditions.

Footage captured the moment the plane passed over the runway without landing, Caliber.Az reports via Turkish media.

Since the morning of January 8, strong winds and stormy conditions in Istanbul led to the cancellation of some flights at Istanbul Airport and Sabiha Gökçen Airport.

Following warnings issued days in advance by the Turkish Meteorological Directorate, strong winds sweeping across the city have particularly disrupted air traffic. Authorities reported that cancellations were made due to the risks the winds posed to runway operations and flight safety.
