Iranian embassies mock Trump threats over Strait of Hormuz
Iranian embassies worldwide responded with critical and ironic comments on X to sharp warnings from US President Donald Trump regarding the Strait of Hormuz.
Earlier, Trump announced on Truth Social that an unprecedented combination of power plant and bridge events is expected to occur in Iran: “Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran. There will be nothing like it!!! Open the Fuckin’ Strait, you crazy bastards, or you’ll be living in Hell - JUST WATCH!” He later specified a new deadline: “Tuesday, 8:00 P.M. Eastern Time!”
Iranian embassies reacted with satire and criticism. The embassy in South Africa suggested “seriously think about the 25th amendment, Section 4,” referring to the constitutional provision allowing the vice president and a majority of cabinet members to declare the president unable to perform duties, transferring power to the vice president.
