Iraq, Egypt call on international community to resolve regional conflict
Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, in a phone call with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, emphasised the need to continue joint Arab coordination to immediately end the war.
During the conversation, the leaders discussed the rapid escalation of events in the region and their implications for security and stability, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Iraqi News Agency.
Both stressed the importance of strengthening joint efforts, intensifying dialogue, and prioritising diplomatic solutions to halt the conflict and prevent a slide into widespread chaos that could threaten regional stability.
Al-Sudani and el-Sisi also highlighted the necessity for the international community to assume legal responsibility for ending hostilities, preventing the conflict from expanding, mitigating its severe consequences for the global economy, and ensuring the resilience of regional and global peace and security.
