IRGC chief warns Israel of "bitter consequences" for strikes on military sites
Hossein Salami, the Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), has issued a stark warning to Israel, threatening “bitter consequences” for its attacks on Iranian territory.
Salami condemned what he described as the “illegal actions” of the "Zionist bloodsucking regime," asserting that Israel's failure to achieve its objectives, thwarted by Iran's air defence, highlights its shortcomings in confronting resistance forces, particularly in Gaza and Lebanon, Caliber.Az reports per Russian media.
Salami also extended condolences to the families of Iranian soldiers who lost their lives in recent Israeli strikes and expressed gratitude to those who defended against the "recent aggression" of the Israeli air force.
On October 26, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced it had targeted military facilities in Iran in response to ongoing attacks. Iran's air defence reported that military sites in Ilam, Tehran, and Khuzestan provinces were struck, though it claimed that the damage was minimal and that its defence systems effectively countered the main assault. The strikes resulted in the deaths of four Iranian servicemen.
