ISIS accountant's brother detained in Azerbaijan

As a result of operational and investigative measures carried out by the State Security Service of Azerbaijan, a citizen of the country - Salahov Mirjavad, a member of the ISIS terrorist organization, was detained on February 24 on suspicion of committing criminal acts related to the financing of terrorism.

As the press service of the State Security Service told Caliber.Az, Mirjavad Salahov, having joined the ranks of the ISIS terrorist organization in the Syrian city of Raqqa, was sent to a special training camp, where he received training and mastered the rules for using firearms.

"Then he continued his work as an accountant in the terrorist organization ISIS, organized the work of providing monthly funds and food to members of the terrorist organization and their families who participated in armed conflicts, the allocation of material assistance to members of the organization wounded during armed conflicts, and the families of the dead. In order to evade criminal responsibility, he hid for some time in other countries," the Service said in a statement.
