Israel eliminates Hamas funds transfer network head VIDEO
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said it carried out a strike in the Khan Yunis area, killing the head of a central Hamas funds transfer network, Ihab Khrizim, in what it described as an operation “in order to remove an immediate threat.”
According to the IDF, Khrizim was responsible for managing the transfer of millions of dollars to Hamas’ military wing. It added that in recent months he had “continued to violate the ceasefire agreement,” and that his activities enabled the group to carry out “imminent attacks against IDF troops and Israeli civilians.”
The military said Khrizim’s killing represents “a significant blow to Hamas’ rehabilitation and force-building efforts.”
The IDF also confirmed that another Hamas operative, Mohammed al-Habash, a unit commander in the group’s production headquarters, was killed in the same strike. It said al-Habash had been involved in manufacturing weapons for Hamas throughout the war.
The army stated that prior to the strike, it took steps “to mitigate harm to civilians,” including the use of precision-guided munitions and aerial surveillance.
IDF troops under the Southern Command, it added, remain deployed in line with the ceasefire agreement and “will continue to operate to remove any immediate threat.”
