Israel intercepts Iranian drones over southern Syria

Israeli air defence systems have intercepted multiple Iranian drones and missiles over southern Syria, according to Syrian media, cited by Al Jazeera. 

The Syrian channel Al-Ikhbariya confirmed the interception of Iranian missiles above the southern province of Al-Quneitra.

Earlier this week, Israeli defences reportedly intercepted another Iranian missile over rural areas of Al-Quneitra. On March 6, an Iranian drone was shot down near Al-Hara in Daraa, while another drone was intercepted the previous day in Inkhil, northern Daraa.

No casualties have been reported in these incidents.
