Israel launches airstrikes on Bedouins in southern Syria VIDEO
Israel is carrying out airstrikes on targets in Syria’s southern As-Suwayda province, where recent clashes between Bedouins and Druze have left at least 37 people dead, Druze sources say.
The airstrikes targeted Bedouin positions in the eastern part of As-Suwayda, as well as in the Daraa region, Caliber.Az reports, citing Israeli media.
Sources say the attack was preceded by the appearance of Israeli warplanes and drones in Syrian airspace.
The IDF has not commented on these reports as of now.
Earlier today, July 14, clashes erupted between Bedouin tribes and Druze in As Suwayda city in southern Syria, killing 37 people, 27 of them Druze, including two children, and 10 of them Bedouin, a war monitor said. Meanwhile, Syria's interior ministry put the toll at "more than 30 deaths and nearly 100 injuries" and said it deployed troops in coordination with the defence ministry to suppress the situation.
