Israel names term for ending operation in Gaza Strip
The Israeli Defence Forces will be ready to stop the military operation against Islamic Jihad terrorists in the Gaza Strip if they stop rocket attacks.
Israeli Finance Minister Avigdor Lieberman made the statement, The Times of Israel reports, according to RBC-Ukraine.
He said that Israel will stop its military campaign if only the terrorist group stops its rocket attacks.
"If Jihad declares a cease-fire, we will also cease-fire," Lieberman said.
As for the eliminated terrorist leader, the minister noted that he "was not only a time bomb, but also controlled time bombs".
"Of course, we are not looking for war or confrontation, but we are not ready to live under someone's threats. I hope that this message was clearly heard," he added.
During the day, about 350 rockets were fired from the Gaza Strip at Israel. Most of those that threatened settlements were shot down.
