Israel praises Argentina for declaring IRGC terrorist organization
Israel has welcomed Argentina’s decision to designate the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization, with Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar praising Argentine President Javier Milei for the move.
The designation, adopted on the eve of Argentina’s Independence Day, was highlighted in a statement by Sa’ar on the social media platform X, Caliber.Az reports.

“This decision complements his declaration recognizing Hezbollah and Hamas as terrorist organizations and places Argentina under his leadership at the forefront of the free world in the fight against the Iranian terrorist regime and its proxies,” Sa’ar said.
He further noted that Argentina itself has been a victim of attacks attributed to Iran, citing “the brutal terrorist attacks on the Israeli Embassy in 1992 and on the Jewish Community Center (AMIA) in 1994.”
“With this decision, President Milei — one of the greatest leaders of our generation — has once again demonstrated moral clarity and an uncompromising commitment to the values of freedom and the fight against its enemies,” the Israeli foreign minister added.
Earlier reports confirmed that Argentina had formally designated the IRGC as a terrorist organization, marking a significant step in its alignment with international efforts to counter Iranian-linked groups.
