Israel resumes ceasefire compliance after strikes on Gaza over Hamas violations
Israel has resumed adherence to the ceasefire following a series of airstrikes on Gaza carried out in response to violations by the Palestinian group Hamas, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said on its Telegram channel.
“In accordance with the directive of the political leadership and after a series of significant strikes in response to Hamas violations, the IDF has begun renewed enforcement of the ceasefire,” the statement said.
The army added that it would continue to uphold the agreement while responding firmly to any further breaches.
Meanwhile, Israel has suspended the entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip amid the renewed escalation.
According to the Ynet news portal, the decision was made by the country’s political leadership, and access for aid deliveries has been halted “until further notice.”
Israel cited ceasefire violations in the enclave and placed responsibility on Hamas for the current situation.
