Israel warns of radical Muslim occupation
Israel’s new Consul General Ofir Akunis has warned that the Big Apple is in danger of falling under “radical Muslim occupation” like many cities in Europe.
“You know what happening in London these days, you know what’s happening in Paris these days and in Malmo, a major city in Sweden? They are under radical Muslim occupation,” Caliber.Az reports citing an exclusive interview of Ofir Akunis with the foreign media.
“They burned an American flag right here, in front of the doors of the [Manhattan] consulate. I’m calling on New Yorkers: wake up before it will be too late! Your September 11th is our October 7th. It’s radical Islam,” he warned.
In a poll taken shortly after October 7, 57 per cent of American Muslims said they believed Hamas’ attack on Israel was “justified.”
Tensions flared up again in the Middle East on October 7, 2023, when militants from the Gaza-based Palestinian radical group Hamas staged a surprise incursion into Israeli territory from the Gaza Strip. Hamas described its attack as a response to the aggressive actions of Israeli authorities against the Al-Aqsa Mosque on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem’s Old City.
In response, Israel has declared a state of war readiness; announced a total blockade of the Gaza Strip, home to 2.3 million Palestinians; and began delivering air strikes on the enclave and certain parts of Lebanon and Syria, followed by a ground operation in the enclave. Clashes are underway in the West Bank as well.
