Israeli defense minister speaks about 'disruption of cohesion' in IDF

On July 31, at a closed meeting of the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, Defense Minister Yoav Galant, assessing the combat readiness of the IDF amid the refusal of a number of reservists protesting legal reform, said.

"The army is capable - but there is damage that could affect the long-term perspective."

Ynet's war correspondent Yoav Zeitoun writes that the defense minister said he had a "feeling of internal cohesion being undermined".

The meeting lasted over two hours. It was attended by the head of the military’s Operations Directorate, Maj-Gen. Oded Basiuk, as well as the heads of military intelligence (AMAN) and the personnel department of the IDF.
