02 July 2025 13:08
On July 2, the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) announced the arrest of a terrorist cell in the city of Al-Quneitra, in the southwest of Syria, which was reportedly controlled by Iran.
The cell was active in two neighbouring Bedouin villages in southern Syria, Caliber.Az reports per Israeli media.
The operation followed weeks of intelligence gathering.
Syrian media report that an Israeli special forces unit entered Al-Basali farm at around 2 am, detaining three men: Amer Al-Ahmad, his brother Malek, and Salem Al-Ahmad, who had returned from the city of Nawa in the Daraa countryside.
