Israeli forces detain over 80 suspects, seize weapons in Samaria PHOTO
Israeli security forces have detained more than 80 wanted individuals and seized weapons during dozens of operations carried out over the past week in the West Bank.
The operations involved the Israel Defence Forces (IDF), Israel Border Police and police units in the Samaria region, Caliber.Az reports, citing the IDF.
Among those arrested were individuals suspected of opening fire on security forces, members of Hamas, weapons holders, explosives manufacturers, and people accused of throwing stones and Molotov cocktails.
Security forces said they uncovered and confiscated around 20 weapons, including improvised Carlo-type firearms, shotguns, M16 and M4 rifles, pistols, hunting rifles, ammunition, military equipment and propaganda materials.
In addition, forces located and shut down three workshops used for producing weapons and explosive devices.
Seven drones and ready-to-use explosive devices were also seized.
The detainees have been transferred for further investigation, while the confiscated weapons were handed over to police units in the Samaria district for processing.
