Israel strikes Syria after overnight attack on buffer zone outpost

The Israeli military carried out a missile strike in Syria after an outpost near Tel Qudna, located within Israel’s buffer zone, came under fire overnight on June 29.
According to the Israeli media, the attack prompted a response involving mortar and artillery fire, followed by missile strikes launched from helicopters. No casualties were reported in connection with the incident.
Syrian state news agency SANA said Israeli forces struck the area around the village of Abidin in the Daraa region. According to the agency, local residents fled their homes in the wake of the strikes.
