Israeli security nabs suspected accomplice in Jerusalem terror attack
Israeli authorities have arrested a resident of East Jerusalem on suspicion of involvement in a deadly attack in the city.
According to the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency), the man is alleged to have secretly transported two militants into Jerusalem by car, Caliber.Az reports per Israeli media.
Reports indicate that he had previously come to the attention of law enforcement for attempting to smuggle Palestinians illegally into Israel.
The attack took place on the morning of September 8 at a junction in the Ramot neighbourhood, where two Palestinian gunmen opened fire on civilians.
Six people were killed, and at least 20 others were injured. Both attackers were shot dead at the scene.
Police and security services are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
