Israeli troops stepping up ground ops in Gaza Eliminating militants and uncovering arms caches/VIDEO
The Israeli army continues its ground operation in the Gaza Strip.
Over the past 24 hours, the main battles were fought in Khan Younis, in the south of the sector, and in the central areas of the sector, Caliber.Az reports, citing the IDF Spokesperson's Office.
Ground units in Khan Younis identified a militant armed with a rocket-propelled grenade in a residential building. Then another militant was identified in the building. Aviation was used to eliminate them.
In western Khan Younis, commandos located tunnel shafts, eliminated the militants and discovered a large number of arms and ammunition.
Four other militants who had ambushed the area were eliminated by the Air Force.
The soldiers also operated in the centre of the Gaza Strip and eliminated more than ten terrorists.
Two more militants in the centre of the Strip were eliminated in an air strike.
