ISW: Russia preparing to attack Ukraine with Iranian missiles
The Institute for the Study of War (ISW) has said that Russia may attack Ukraine's infrastructure with Iranian missiles this fall or winter.
The Russian army may start firing Iranian Fateh-360 ballistic missiles at Ukraine's civil and energy infrastructure this fall or in the coming winter, the ISW said, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.
ISW also notes that Ukrainian electronic warfare (EW) systems have become more effective against Iranian Shahed drones, which Russia is actively using to attack civilian targets. This will allow Ukraine to save ammunition for defence against missile strikes on critical facilities and major cities.
ISW experts believe that Moscow and Kyiv are now involved in a military race, in which the Ukrainian side is ahead of the Russian side in technological innovations. Thanks to this, Ukraine will be able to level Russia's material advantage, the analysts believe.
