Japan pledges strong action to shield citizens from Middle East tensions

The Japanese government will do everything possible to ensure that the tense situation in the Middle East does not affect the lives and safety of citizens, Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi said during a government and ruling coalition meeting on April 13.
Meanwhile, Chief Cabinet Secretary Minoru Kihara, speaking at a press conference the same day, commented on US–Iran talks aimed at ending hostilities, Caliber.Az reports per Japanese media.
He said that stabilising the situation remains the top priority and expressed hope for a swift diplomatic agreement.
