Japan supports lifting sanctions on Iran, PM Sanae Takaichi says

Japan is prepared to join an initiative by the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy and France to lift sanctions on Iran if the country conducts its nuclear activities transparently, Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi has stated.
While on an official visit to Italy, Takaichi said she received a request to join a joint statement by the four countries – UK, France, Germany, Italy, Caliber.Az reports, citing foreign media.
In a joint statement on the agreement, the leaders of the UK, France, Germany and Italy said they would work closely with the United States, Iran and regional partners to “seize this moment,” praising the diplomatic efforts of Pakistan, Qatar and other mediators.
