Japanese fighter jet crashes during training exercise, pilot rescued VIDEO
A Japanese Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF) F-2 fighter jet crashed into the sea off the coast of Ibaraki Prefecture in eastern Japan during a routine training exercise.
The aircraft, which was operating out of Hyakuri Air Base, went down shortly after takeoff during offshore training, Caliber.Az reports via Japanese media.

The sole pilot onboard managed to eject safely and was rescued. Authorities confirmed that the pilot’s injuries are not life-threatening.
The JASDF has launched an investigation to determine the cause of the crash. Further details have not yet been released.
