Kazakh president: Azerbaijan is our strategic partner and ally
Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has reaffirmed Azerbaijan’s status as a key strategic partner and ally during talks with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov in Astana.
During the meeting, Tokayev emphasised the significance of Bayramov’s visit in strengthening bilateral ties between the two nations, Caliber.Az reports per Kazakh media.
“Your visit holds great importance in advancing our cooperation with our brotherly Azerbaijan. Our relations with Azerbaijan are of utmost significance. We regard Azerbaijan as a reliable strategic partner and ally,” Tokayev stated.
For his part, Bayramov expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and highlighted the dynamic growth of bilateral relations. He also conveyed appreciation on behalf of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and the Azerbaijani people for Kazakhstan’s swift support following the tragic crash of an Azerbaijan Airlines plane in Aktau.
The talks also focused on major strategic projects, including the construction of a fibre-optic communication line and a deepwater power cable across the Caspian Sea.
Additionally, the two sides discussed prospects for further cooperation in trade, investment, digitalisation, transit, and transport.
