Kim Jong Un observes test of North Korea’s advanced anti-aircraft missiles
The Main Directorate of Missile Industry of North Korea has conducted a test of modified anti-aircraft missiles of two types, targeting various aerial threats to evaluate their combat performance.
The exercise was observed by DPRK leader Kim Jong Un, alongside top officials including WPK Central Committee Secretary Jo Chun Ryong, KPA Air Force Commander Marshal Kim Kwang Hyok, and President of the National Defence Academy Kim Yong Hwan, Caliber.Az reports, citing North Korean media.
Officials report that the new missile systems demonstrated high responsiveness against drones, cruise missiles, and other aerial targets, relying on original and specialised technology. The two modifications were deemed effective for engaging multiple types of targets.
Kim Jong Un also outlined key tasks for the nation’s defence research units ahead of the upcoming Party Congress.
