Kremlin: Russia awaits US special envoy's visit

Russian Presidential Assistant Yury Ushakov has said that US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff is scheduled to visit Moscow this week.

When asked by journalists about the visit, Ushakov simply confirmed, saying, "Yes," acknowledging the upcoming diplomatic mission, Caliber.Az reports per Russian media.

On April 22, Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov announced that Russian authorities would provide details regarding the upcoming visit of the US special envoy.

Earlier, The Wall Street Journal, citing Western officials, reported that Witkoff might visit Russia following a scheduled meeting later this week among the representatives from the US, Ukraine, and the EU in London.
