Kuwait sends IRGC-linked suspects to court over illegal military zone entry

Kuwait’s Public Prosecution has referred to court the cases of suspects allegedly linked to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

Authorities described their entry into Kuwaiti territory as illegal, Caliber.Az reports, citing Kuwaiti media.

The suspects were identified and detected by the armed forces after they entered Kuwait’s maritime borders and infiltrated a restricted military zone.

Kuwait has strongly condemned the infiltration of the armed group, allegedly with the intent to carry out “hostile acts against the State of Kuwait.”

The group engaged in a clash with Kuwaiti armed forces before being detained, resulting in the injury of one member of the Kuwaiti military/
