Kyiv receives 130 generators from Poland to boost energy resilience PHOTO
Kyiv has received 130 generators of varying capacities from Poland, aimed at strengthening the resilience of critical infrastructure and social institutions amid Ukraine’s ongoing energy crisis, the city’s mayor, Vitali Klitschko, announced on Telegram.
He noted that another 90 generators are already on the way from Warsaw, and the next shipment is expected soon, Caliber.Az reports.
“Since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion, Ukraine has received support from international partners, with Poland being one of the key contributors. Thanks to the Polish people, Ukrainians have received extensive humanitarian aid, including energy supplies, medical equipment, food, and other essential resources,” Klitschko wrote.
Polish volunteers raised funds for the generators, collecting 80 million zlotys (nearly €2 million) from 60,000 donors in just ten days. The total capacity of the delivered equipment amounts to 2,376 kW.
