Kyiv repels massive Russian UAV assault, General Staff says
Ukraine repelled a large-scale overnight drone attack launched by Russia on May 1, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The General Staff said Russian forces deployed a total of 210 strike unmanned aerial vehicles, including “Shahed,” “Gerbera,” and “Italmas” drones, as well as other types. Approximately 140 of the drones were identified as Shahed-type UAVs.

According to preliminary data, as of 08:00 local time, Ukrainian air defenses had shot down or suppressed 190 drones across the northern, southern, and eastern regions of the country.
Despite the interceptions, impacts from 20 strike drones were recorded across 14 locations. In addition, debris from intercepted UAVs fell in 10 separate locations.
